Grinder Babbitt Pad Lubrication

Diemx has provided many end users and grinder manufacturers with babbitt pad lubrication systems.

The system shown to the left is a Roll Grinder Babbitt Pad lubrication system. There are four Air-Oil streams delivered from the unit. Each stream delivers the same amount of oil (the ratio of oil delivery can be varied) to a spray nozzle. The nozzles are directed onto the roll neck just above the babbitt pad. The air-oil feature of not atomising the oil eliminates many of the problems with other application systems. The nature of the air-oil system applies a continuous stream of small oil droplets on the roll neck. The system can be wired to come on automatically when the headstock begins to turn. This saves money on both oil and clean-up. The accurate oil delivery also delivers further savings on oil costs. Reduced oil consumptions also reduce cleaning and treating costs of coolants. Most users of these systems report excellent return on investment with the savings and improved capabilities.
